I appreciate this. In my case the xml file is shredded into about 31 columns and this is not a viable option. I would be manipulating multiple property values...

Look at the Altova MissionKit. It's very good at dealing with this kind of challenge.

Even if the xml contains a straight dump of the table, you will not have information about Role being the Primary Key and you will have no information regarding indexes...
