The 48 seconds is not CPU waiting time, just waiting for the data to get throug the freakin WAN. The query itself runs only for +/- 4 seconds. Our environment...

Any input? Does anyone have the same situation were you have to connect multiple instances in a high latency, low bandwidth WAN environment? And how do you cope with this?

STD vs ENT edition will always be a discussion here, the ENT edition is much more expensive... again I don't think the costs will outweight the benifit....

I was also not aware of any difference, but a consultant from an external company told me the hot stand by of the 2nd node would only work on Entrprise...
