There are 2 servers with 1 instances each.

The network has limited band width but do not drop.

So is it preferable to have the backup in server A and restore Server...

It is an ETL Tool that pulls data from JDE to SQL database.

The data is inserted using Data Manager.

Hence N cannot be added as prefix for the chinese data entered in the batch.

When we are using the query you have provided it...

This is what I am inserting using the following query:

INSERT INTO Test..Test_table VALUES (75968,'???F')

and this is the output when I use a select query: ???F

table script is as follows:

CREATE TABLE...

Have IntelliSense enabled to avoid such problems.

The rows are returning ASCI values when I am executing normal Select query.

Where as the data in source database is in Chinese

After shrinking the log the file size is 1 MB i.e. the initial DB size.

Can I remove the file now and delete it?
