Yes, the both indexes are on the same column. Probably the best thing to do, let vendor fix it.

You were right! I actually applied sp3 to my desktop and REPORTS are there now. I have never applied a sp to my desktop to upgrade sql server component.

No, I didn't apply any patches to management studio on my pc. Is that what you are referring to?
all of my actual sql servers have the most current patches.
