Looks like there are three seperate Service Packs:

One for Database Components, One for Analysis Services, and One for MSDE

Personally, I would choose Door #2  : )

I would install SQL Server and then install SP4 (Database Components)

Then I would install Analysis Services and SP4 (for Analysis Services)

Just a suggestion..  you might be better off starting out with SP4 instead of applying SP3a. Especially on a new install.   SP4 includes some security patches that you'de have...
