Yes you have to click "Add node to a SQL Server Failover Cluster" when you are installing SQL 2008 on Windows 2008 cluster.

Even I've come accross this same issue, but in my case only the LS Restore job took more time to complete and there is no issues on LS Copy job....

Are you trying to restrict the CPU usage by SQL, I mean for Eg. you have 8CPUs in the SQL box by default...
