Didn't work, tried installing the accessdatabaseengine_x64.exe /in passive mode, but it just disappears.

I suggest you change your approach slightly.

Create a FOREACH container which executes for every occurrence of the file you want to process. It will therefore execute either once...

I concluded that the SQL Servername is called differently between 2K and 2K8, which fixed the issue.
