Have you tried using the T-SQL syntax? Additionally have you checked that you started SSMS using the "Run as Administrator" explicit option? Minimal role required for creating logins is securityadmin....

Hi,
An option could be using the -o (output) option in sqlcmd or redirecting output to a file using the "> logfile.txt" pipe in the command prompt.
