i'm not sure you saw my last comment. back when i posted there was a bug with server names of 15+ characters. mine was 15 exactly.

We use DL380 G5's as well, our default build sets it to 50/50.. What did you change it to on your SQL Server? Did you notice any benefit?

i am able to get this to work on anything before SQL 2005 SP2, is that what others are experiencing? I have also rolled it up with the cumulative hotfixes...

There is a hotfix related to Database Mail and SP2, I'm not positive the KB article off the top of my head but do a search on microsoft's website
