actually i am able to take the backup when i am providing the path of drive which is in the server.

but when i am providing the my laptop hard disk...

we don'nt have db server in our office & we have hosted our database and every thing in a 3rd party server or u can say data center.

don'nt try to rename sa login, create the same privilage login as sa and disable the sa login.

u can do it by object explorer.

some one asked me that window authentication user-id and password are stored in which db.

i replied to that person as there is no user-id and password for window authentication...
