try this after u stop any kind of access to the db except u.

stop the app pool.

add a column identity to every table

alter table add columnname int identity default...

just use this query in low traffic time.

SELECT distinct * INTO NEWTable FROM OldTable

delete the old table or drop the old table. if no index is used.

OR

truncate the old table...
