Hi,
in book online it says you can define up to 64 backup devices for example:
backup database bigdb to disk='k:\bigdb1.bkp', disk='L:\bigdb2.bkp'

The first cons I can think of is one database if it gets corrupt or something else happens to it, then your company will stand still.

open Enterprise Manager right click on databases - all tasks - attach database.
In the new form click the button with (...) and then browse to your databases.
