I think your approach is Ill convieved and out dated.
Today we write applications for the Enterprise or for the Sector(eg small retail).
All the "Aspects", "Prespectives" and "Viewports" of software architecture...

Well, Snapshots are used to initialise or reinitialise Merge and Transactional replications
The snapshot that I am using for reinitialisation of a merge replication, every 14 days, has grown so now...

I don't think that last statement is correct else how would a Merge replication get started if that merge replication was not connected to the distibutor eg done by CDROM/DVD?
