Another option is to use a Transform Data Task. You can put your select statement in the Source tab then check 'Enable identity insert' on the Options tab.

Was there an arrow connecting the two connection objects? If so, double-click on the arrow. That's the Transform Data task.
This is another guess. Could your package have more than one version...

Lumigent's Log Explorer works well if you are only interested in finding out, after the fact, who did something. It doesn't do continuous auditing like Entegra.
