I think it really depends on the job you're applying for, or the position you're comparing your experience to...
I would think database developer deals with the front-end programmers and helps...

Can you explain why you need to do a cross tab in SQL?
If you are using reporting software, use the cross-tab in that.

If you have another box to run the trace from, I would do it on a separate box, unless your server isn't loaded.
Also, trace files can get big quick.
