well one method is to use terminal services ... so they vpn and or terminal to a server that has sql em on it, not the "real" sql server just...

a common problem is the page layout settings, if they do not match you get extra pages.
make sure that you are spcifying page size when you ask rs to render...

Reporting Services is very new... I have a few gripes with the install program.
I bet this is a bug / error in the installer.
