This has happened to us several times, the reporting services takes up the 100% CPU. I've gone through the reporting log and have found nothing that makes sense.

We had to re-install SQL Server and one of DBA ran a "ATLER DATABASE msdb modfiy file..." to point to the original msdb files, which worked great, but the jobs...

Our issue seems to be resolved. We found a rouge trace running and killed it. We found three traces running; 1) the default, 2) SQL Sentry and 3) rouge Trace....

I don't like this idea because if something happens to the replication and you have to reinitialize the subscription you would lose your archive.
