If you're using SQL 2000 and pulling from excel, I'd recommend looking at the DTS Import/Export Wizard. Here's a couple of links to look at as a reference

I went as father time last year; however, due to time constraints and events this year I'm just going as a "DBA" so the kids can have a good time....
