I think we need some more info for this one.
Have you tried pinging the DNS name to see if there is actually another virtual server with that name?

Try going into the Repl Monitor-->Agents and find the agent that coreponds with the publication you are having trouble with. (not sure if you are running transactional or snapshot repl)
