Yes, looks like bug else it should not prompting me for invalid password when i haven't key-in the password. I encounter this few times, Build was 10.0.2531

Since SQL Server 2016 SP1, the Always Encrypted feature is included in express editions even. It does not provide whole database encryption like TDE. There are other nice alternatives like...

I would suggest to exclude tempdb as it will be showing same transaction two time, one under with tempdb.

If your database is not in single user mode or Auto_close, Have you tried using TCP? Did you notice any handshake error ?
