You can use the alias, the calculation firstname + lastname, or the column number...
so...
order by 'FullName'
order by firstname + ' ' + last name
order by 1
all produce the same result...

So have you mapped the drive on the server? If so and you're still receiving this error I would suggest in the excel connection fully declaring the path (eg. \\servername\folder\file.xls)...

The scope parameter is the name of the data set from which the field is being derived.
So your expression should work assuming:

Not sure how you can expose the reports w/o using windows authentication but you should be able to integrate the reports by using the report viewer control into your .Net...
