My experience has been that when many developers and DBAs say denormalized, they actually mean unnormalized. You can't reverse what you never did in the first place... :rolleyes:

Right answer, wrong explanation. The stdev function is simply programmed to return null when the sample size is less than 2. It has nothing to do with division by zero....

char(1) and varchar(1) are not equivalent. varchar also incurs overhead to store how many characters are being used so a varchar(1) requires more than one byte of storage (3 actually).
