I would like to emphasis that SQL 2005 is another product versus just another version of SQL 2000. On the surface it may seem some of the features have disappeared...

I have published this technique in May 2005 (check http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/aGrinberg/thearrayinsqlserver2000.asp). There is a problem with the TABLE variable. If you have a big row set, the TABLE variable will slow down performace....

2 = unique index,

16 = clustered index,

64 = index allows duplicate rows,
