If possible you can backup the databases on the drives that are fragmented, delete the databases from the drives, defrag (it'll take seconds if the drive is empty) and then restore from the backups. ...

Yeah, that's weird. It only happens after you save the table. And when you script the table the double parens are listed there too.

Do you have SQL Server 2005 SP1 installed on both machines? There was a memory leak problem with Fuzzy Lookup/Grouping that SP1 fixed.
