Hi there,
Just now figured out from my boss that yesterday evening our production server had performance issue (CPU usage was 100%). Have no idea whether it’s possible today find any records anywhere regarding the source of this problem?! And appreciate any advice what to check first if next time we will have again CPU usage 100% (I mean who/what)?

Any query could peg your server at 100%. In fact, I've had lots of servers that would hit 100% for a minute or two.
Today there isn't anyway to determine this unless you had profiler running. You could do that and roll off the old data over time, but you'll be loading the server slightly and not sure what it buys you. Best thing is to getup periodic monitoring if it continues to happen.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, this period of 100% CPU usage lasts some hours and 1-2 times a month. So I need to be prepared for the next time it will happen.
