Good Afternoon,
I'm using xp_smtp_sendmail to send an internal mail when it comes to database reporting. But 1 day it just stop sending the reports and when I check the sql agent this is the error I saw...
Error: connecting to server 1X.X.X.X [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) Server response: 421 servermail.domain.com connection limit reached
Anyone know how to solve this problem? what is the workaround for this kind of error?

Hi,
Check the SMTP Relay Server Settings to which you are connecting.. There is a option in the SMTP Virtual Server to limit the connections and this is what is creating the issue to you...

It depends on your SMTP Server and Network Usage.. Leave the values to default which will work for Ideal situation... You can take the help of your System Administrator for proper data 🙂
