xp_sendmail in SQL Server

    Hi,

    Would like to ask whether this whether do xp_sendmail function used outlook to sent out the email or using SMTP?

    Can you briefly explain to me what xp_sendmail uses in order to send the email?

    XP_sendmail requires first to configure MS outlook to send and receive mail.then you can test please write xp_sendmail 'krish@mail.com','test message subject' query analyser result pane must give sent mail.
