xp_sendmail error

when using xp_sendmail, I'm getting the following error:
xp_sendmail:failed with mail error 0x80004005.
Is anyone familiar with this error?

Very familiar ... more often than not it relates to a security issue.
Can you provide a bit more info on where you receive this error?
