  I am trying to execute the following from the query analyzer . It seems not doing anything . Can you help me out

  EXEC xp_cmdshell 'print c :\temp.txt'

  Do you have default printer configured in the machine your SQL Server is running? There should not be a space between "c" and ":" in your command.
