xp-cmdshell security restrictions

    We have a SQL 2005 64bit installation with xp-cmdshell turned off. If we turn it on, for example for some Quest Central functions or some command line functions we are migrating from Sybase, is there a way to limit the execution to on specified userids?

    I suppose you could set permissions on the XP. There's a proxy, and that limits rights. Limiting access to master for users (remove from public) might work.
