  Good Morning,

  I'm very new to SSIS and have a task in mind for its use. I have 3 flat files (.txt) from which I need to extract specific fields. Once fields are extracted, I need to send them to a vendor via FTP. I know that this can be done using Access. However, I'm wondering if this is a good task to undertake in SSIS? Your thoughts and insight would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello Sid,

  Yes it would be better if you can do it in SSIS as it has the ease to use. You can use the individual txt files and then pump the required information into another txt file with the delimiters you select and then FTP it to the end client.
