  • I signed up last week, can't wait for the party!

Prizes: Chips to gamble with, PASS beer glasses, Brent Ozar's bacon flavored lollipops, 30 minute sit down session with an MVP

  • Dave Schutz (3/9/2010)

30 minute sit down session with an MVP

That's not much of a prize.

During the main conference you can't swing a (metaphorical) cat without hitting a couple of MVPs and there's no problem in getting them to talk. Often the problem is getting them to stop talking.

    😀 😉

  • I registered before Jan 15th in order to get the 50% discount from PASS but I didn't have the code at that time.

I really tried to search for it, but I couldn't.

Are there any ways I can get the ticket for free after registering?

This is my first PASS Summit and I won't loose this party!

  • I attended my first ever PASS Summit in November. Because I heard about it through SSC, I used the code for the discount. But I never did get a ticket to the party. So while it might be convenient to have PASS handle the admin, it may also be a good idea to do some followup.

  • If you use the code but don't get a ticket with your conference badge, speak to the ppl at registration. Stuff does sometimes get forgotten, but they're very good at fixing stuff on the spot.

  • Prizes At the 2009 SSC Party were good.

At the party I got a DVD of Dune - and funny thing is that I was due for my once-a-decade viewing!

I also got a copy of the book Ender's Game - which is a stellar Science Fiction book that I've been wanting to read again as an adult.

    I'd suggest the following:

Cube Chic: Take your Office Space from Drab to Fab!

Extreme Office Crafts: Creative & Devious Ways to Waste Office Supplies & Company Time

Cubicle Warfare: 101 Office Traps and Pranks

I asked this once too. The answer is no. The ticket is $30 and would be well worth the expense. I too am in the same scenario and will be purchasing my ticket.

  • The half price admission cuts down the profit on the Summit so far that PASS can't do a referral fee to us. The $30 is pretty low, and lower than the referral fee of $50. We count on that for the prizes as I run this event as a $0 budget item.

  • Think Geek has stuff that would make great prizes. I especially like the annoyatron.

I like how you think. There are plenty of great things on thinkgeek. Missile turrets, combat tanks, rc helicopters, binary clocks and the list goes on.
