WMI Problem

  • i have the folloing case:

installed SQL Server 2005 SP2 on a PC joined to the domain, i used a domain user account for the services domain1\user1.

when am trying to use the SQL configuration manager or the SQL surface area manager am getting two errors:

1- cannot connect to WMI provider, u dont have permissions.

    2- cannot locat remote server.

i tryed the follwoing scripts but it didnt helped:

    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\repair\secsetup.inf /db secsetup.sdb /verbose

    restart

    then

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared>mofcomp "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof"

    then restart
