I have 2 brand new HP servers, there configuration is exactly same including array configuration. On serverA i have installed OS on C drive which is RAID 1, i pulled the drive from bay1 from serverA and inserted into bay1 of serverB. I was expecting serverB to just read that drive and install the OS, apparently that didn't happen, it just doesn't recognizes the drive. Am i missing something here?

Both drives are needed for the array and you cant just move between servers. If you had both disks you could probably put them into server B and import the array but I wouldn't advise that with boot volumes.
Why did you pull the drive from server A what were you hoping to gain
