Window XP professional

    Does anyone install reporting service on window xp professional ?  The minute I installed it, my  laptop died.

    Does anyone have that experience or did I do anything wrong.  I had visual studio 2003 installed and IIS installed.

    What version of RS were you trying to install?  I have RS200, WXP Prof on a laptop with no problems and also on a desktop and with RS2005 installed alongside.

    I found this on Microsoft web site.  I don't know if it has something to do with my failure of installing reporting service.  I am trying to install SQL Server Reporting service 2000.

    Is your problem a matter of the RS software is not installing correctly and causing problems or is it that everything is installed ok and that when you open the Report Manager it then causes you pc problems
