I try install first windows 2008 r2 failover cluster, i didnt have option to choose that, so i can install win clust. Any reason why didnt show up, please have a look attach file
I know i have click Start, click Administrative Tools, click Server Manager, and then, i have sysadmin permission to continue, click Continue. Then, under Features Summary, click Add Features.
In the Add Features Wizard, click Failover Clustering and then click Install. Problem is that i didnt see failover option to choose.
Any reason ? please let me know that. Then i can able to start SQL 2008 R2 Active/Passive singel cluster.

you need to split the disks out as you see fit ensuring that they are big enough for db growth and that you can easily add more disk space should it become an issue
there are lots of good resources if yoy do a quick google search on creating a sql cluster

there is no issue in that its the capacity splits that you need to worry about, but only you can decide this as you should know roughly how the database will grow with the users and business

Gila Monster, where r u now ? i need to conform with you.

the drive sizes are ok as long as they are big enough to factor in growth, so you dont want to put in a db now which will grow to 200GB in a couple of days and then find that you need more space and need to reconfigure the cluster, should be planning for atleast a year or more capacity
this link will help you in installing the cluster http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms179410.aspx

Exactly how many disks do you have?
Are they local disks?
