I've made up a new maintenance plan for backing up some databases in SQL 2005. This is for doing differential backups. When I look at the database within SSMS, do a right-click on it and look at the properties, it shows the backup date for what I think is the last full backup. However, according to the maintenance plan's history, and looking at the .BAK files' creation date, I can see that the differential backup I made ran at the proper time last night.
So, why is there a difference?

That's because the properties of the DB in SSMS show the last FULL backup. I don't think that can be changed.
