That's a very open question. What version were you expecting?

Dear Beatrix Kiddo,

Ok, well I can't see the image you've attached, but presumably you've applied a cumulative update or something like that?
What do you get when you do SELECT @@VERSION ?

Please see the image with link below.
(Please copy and paste in Browser)
Let me check the result with select command. i will share the results.

Ok, so have you applied a cumulative update?
(I'm hoping somebody else will come along and be more helpful in a minute :-D.)
November 13, 2013 at 3:50 am
I do not know it is cumulative update.
i have one server and client environment.
On client machine i have SQL Version = 10.52.4000
(Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client)

What I'm really trying to find out is why this is bothering you, when it happened, what has changed recently (i.e. have you applied any updates), etc. etc. Without the background information we can't tell you why you're on that version.

In our application database server, the version of SQL 2008 R2 native client is 10.52.4000.0.
In client machine, the version of SQL 2008 R2 native client is 10.50.1600.1.
Do we need to install same version SQL 2008 R2 native client in database server and clients?

Any Luck for me please
November 17, 2013 at 11:11 pm
Do you have any kind of problems?
If not, I can't see any reason for trying to solve this.
November 17, 2013 at 11:15 pm
Dear Grasshopper,
My dev team is asking why this version on client and servers of SQL NATIVE CLIENT 2008 R2 is different.
They are saying that should be same.
I just need to know that which one is latest Client one or Server one.
Thanks.

10.50.1600.1 is SQL2008R2 RTM
all higher numbers refer to service packs or cumulative updates, or the combination of both.
Is see in many companies that if they apply service packs/cumulative updates, but they only do it for the database servers
and simply forget about clients. :ermm:
Client software also has enhancements to it and should be upgraded, just like for db servers.

You can get service packs from Windows Updates and both service packs and cumulative updates can be downloaded from the Microsoft site.
