Yep last minute price etc.
Does anyone know if there were UG discount codes this year?
Sadly, Chris, I can't help you, I've looked through recent emails and nothing comes up for a code. I've asked a couple of people. but they like me booked at the super early bird price before any discount codes could be applied.

I'm there for the Friday and the Saturday, as normal when it's a sensible distance from home 🙂
Train journey in on the Saturday is going to be a killer.

Awesome meeting Craig for the first time, and Spaghetti DBA Gian. I bumped into the old team from Bravissimo including Richard Douglas and spent a fair amount of the day with a former colleague Shikha Jain and also Eirikur Eiriksson. I missed bumping into Mark Pryce-Maher, Christian Bolton, Rodders, Beatrix Kiddo and Grant Fritchey. I swear I saw Gail surrounded by gnomes at one point.
Five sessions were memorable and very useful. The sessions presented by Brent Ozar and David Hansen in particular were outstanding and I'll follow them up to maximise retention.
One session however was spectacularly poor, the presenter aggressively windmilling around, shouting and pointing like a street market seller, 95% self aggrandizement and 5% content. I was quite cross when I escaped from it having learned nothing except never to attend one of his sessions ever again.
