I've got my name down for the Saturday but it clashes with a family do so it's unlikely I'll make it.If you can indeed not make it, then please do not forget to unregister. In previous years, the Saturday was always sold out, so by taking your name off the list you can make someone else very happy.
Of course not Hugo. I should find out in the next few days if the party  is on the Saturday or Sunday. There'll be a token attempt to convince Mrs B that SQL Bits is the better option and that my nephew won't even notice if I'm there or not but I'm pretty much doomed.

Sunday is a much better day for family parties. Everyone knows that! ๐
(Perhaps, if Bits is off the table, you can convince Mrs B that SQL Nexus in Copenhagen would be a wirthy substitution??)

I know Sunday's the better day, you know Sunday's the better day, but if having the party on Saturday means that my brother-in-law can go to the football on Sunday then the rest of us have to suffer.
Copenhagen just might fly though.... Or not  Mrs B's a teacher who won't be able to come with me that week. If I've next to no chance of escaping from an afternoon at my sister's, there's no chance at all of disappearing to Copenhagen for a week on my own. It was a nice idea while it lasted though.

Will miss the breakfast but will be in time for your talk, Query Store at 11:00?๐
Is that when it is? Cool. I can sleep in a little. HA!

That's on my list of things to do...maybe next year:ermm:
It's on my list of things to get back to - not been since 2013.
Once I have finished IE2 this summer then I will go, I really want to meet the "scary DBA".
Any time, although I'm not even remotely scary.

It's true. You've mellowed.
You need to do another backup rant.

I'm now unregistered as yesterday I was officially invited to spend my Saturday afternoon with an army of four-year-olds on a sugar-rush. Although looking at pictures of SQLBits from previous years the two don't appear hugely dissimilar.
My nephew probably wouldn't notice or care if I was there or not but my mother and sisters certainly would and it's not worth the earache. On the plus side it's an excuse for a couple of afternoon ales and a meal out with Mrs B afterwards.

Enjoy the kiddos. They'll only be 4 once. There will be other Bits.

Too bad would have been nice to catch up again...
But as Steve J said there will be others...
I would say that the pictures don't tell the whole story and we are professionals really...
But that wouldn't be true ๐

I'll be there sometime Thur. Fly in late Wed to LHR and stay there, then try to make my way up. Thought about flying, but not great times/flights up, so will train since I can do some work along the way.
