Who is going to the PASS Summit 2009?

  • Hi there everyone,

I couldn't find a corresponding post here and was wondering who had managed to get permission to go to the PASS Summit this year.

I will be coming from Germany on Halloween and staying in the Sheraton Hotel. I'm really looking forward to my first Summit/SSC Party/Visit to the USA.

I hope to put faces to names from here, it should be fun.

    See you there

    Regards,

    WilliamD

  • I'll be there and at the SSC party.

  • I'll be there to. I'm coming in on Sunday evening and staying at the Sheraton as well.

  • As you might have guessed, I'll be there. Likely working the door for the party 🙂

  • Attending.

  • I think Gail is leaving tomorrow for her 400 hour, round-the-world-across-the-hemispehere trip to PASS 🙂

And she still won't arrive until Monday!:-P

  • Ha ... Ha ... Ha ....

Leaving Friday evening. Breakfast Saturday morning in Paris, arrive in Seattle around 1pm Saturday afternoon.

21 or so hours of flying, 4 hours layover. Had better, had worse. One of these years I'll be able to afford to fly business class.

  • Gail,

are you flying Air France by any chance? I have pretty similar times for my flight from Paris to Seattle.

Business class would be nice, but can you justify the quadruple price?

Maybe it would be worth it with the distance you are travelling. I definately don't envy you for that!

Air France/KLM. Stopping in Paris on the way there, Amsterdam on the way back

At the moment, no. If I had the money then I would, business class would mean I could work the entire flight (as there's power for laptops) and arrive in Seattle not feeling like I'd been in a sardine can for 20+ hours and barely able to walk off the plane.

  • Barry, we'll miss you. Between Grant and I, we'll raise a few.

  • No Pass this year (much like Jeff). However I was able to swing SQL Connections in Vegas :w00t:
