Who have experience to backup a 300 ~ 400 GB DB

    Hi,

    It is a new DB a will be 300~400 GB finally, I am currently using BackupExec 8.6 to backup the others. Who have such experience? Thanks.

    If you are backing up VLDB you should not be using backupexec but SQL native backup with multiple drives. I have a 30GB database that can be backup in 55min using SQL native backup with 1 DLT 8000. If you use multiple DLT tape drives it will be twice as fast, two tape drives could do it in 5hrs and SQL native backup is faster and free!
