After upgrading to the latest SQL patch I now have White icons on my Engine and Sql Server agent Icons.
I am running 64 bit sql 2005 9.0.3257,windows 2003 64 bit in a cluster enviroment
Services shows everything is running, but I can not kick off any jobs through SSMS. I know that the white icon is telling me the it is not instance aware but not sure what to do from here....not seen much on google......Hope someone can help!!!
I also can not open SQL server config manag.
THANKS

the white icons mean you do not have permissions on that server to manage the sql services (stop, start, etc)
