plan to upgrade to Windows 7, but which version (home premium, pro or ultimate) will run 2008 Express? Thanks, Jerry

I currently have Developer Edition SQL 2008 R2 installed on Win 7 Home Premium as well as Professional.
You should be fine with the express edition on those same platforms.

Jason - were you able to get SSRS and SSAS running on Home Premium? I haven't yet upgraded to 7, but I had to run Vista Business and/or Ultimate to get those services running (something about the authentication components not being "compatible" with whatever's in the Home versions).

Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part...unless you're my manager...or a director and above...or a really loud-spoken end-user..All right - what was my emergency again?

Late response, but I didn't see that question until today.
Yes, I have SSRS and SSAS running on Home Premium currently. I don't recall having done any special tweaking for it either.
