I am running out of space on my hard drive and looked at programs to remove. It looks like I have two versions of sql server. I was wondering if I can remove SSMS version 16.5.3 since I am running 17.7? I was wondering what other sql server files I might be able to remove without losing programs. Thanks

Yes, you can uninstall SSMS version 16.5.3. It shouldn't impact your actual SQL Server services(if you have them installed).

It's worth noting, SSMS is not SQL Server. SSMS is an application to connect to SQL Server. SQL Server is a completely different install. If you've looking to uninstall a version of SQL Server you need to look for those installs; which'll be larger than an SSMS install as well.
