Hi, sql server experts.
I'm sorry if this post isn't very good, but I'd really appreciate if you could let me know your thoughts on the following. Thanks.
We moved an application from sql server 2005 to sql server 2012 SP1 enterprise edition, build 9200, a little while ago, and have been getting errors when running update statistics that the statistics stream is corrupted.
I found this is a known bug, and that we need to upgrade to a newer CU.
I know there's a CU from January 2015 for SP1, but was thinking we might be better off upgrading to SP2, but found that SP2 CU 2, 3 and 4 have issues with HA/AlwaysOn availability groups may report as not synchronizing, and there's a hot fix that we need to use instead.
I know SP2 has some features and improvements over SP1, so I just wanted to confirm the hot fix has the bug fix the statistics stream corrupted error, and all the bug fixes that are in SP2 CU 2, 3 and 4.
I also read that Sql Server Reporting Services aren't supported by SP2, as they were in SP1, and there's an add-in.
Does the reporting services add-in cost extra, or is it already included in our enterprise edition license?

Thanks very much for the reply.
That's one less thing to worry about 🙂
Will wait to hear information about the rest of my questions.

That's probably the SSRS add-in for SharePoint.
Need an answer? No, you need a question

Thanks for the reply.
Glad the reporting services aren't an issue, since some people here use them.
Does anyone know about my other questions, about whether the SP2 hot fix includes all the bug fixes that were included in SP1's latest CU, especially the fix to the corrupted statistics for update statistics jobs?
If so, I'll upgrade to the SP2 hot fix, or else I'll upgrade to the latest SP1 CU from January 2015.
