I work for a company called SQLAlert that produces a lightweight monitoring product of the same name. The product runs stand-alone on one-or-more servers with load balancing and failover. You can download a desktop verion for free that has MOST of the features.$0.02

Duly noted. I’ll have my web programmer take a look. The product is still worth a try.

Hello All,
Just to give you an update.
After reviewing the products, the 2 runners are Idera and SQL Sentry. I've had a demonstration of both products. Idera is a good product but SQL Sentry I have to say is excellent.
I apprieciate the comments about reporting, but have been told by them that they are currently working on a new version which will include more reporting and will included fragmention checks too amongst other improvements.
Time to do some proper testing now. Shall update you again shortly.
Thanks Again.

I've used Idera products in the past. They tend to be OK, but not great, and in my opinion VERY over-priced. But my biggest gripe is that their support has left a lot to be desired, often taking weeks for them to troubleshoot and find answers to problems that we have had. Probably not that big of a deal for the Monitoring software as it is for the ComplianceManager and SQLSafe I've used in the past, but something to keep in mind.

i've had the very opposite experience with SQLSentry. Any questions or issues we've had have been responded to and answered within a few days..........could be that our issues were easily fixable and yours wasn't?
