What service pack and update are people running in SQL Server 2000? I am currently running SP3a, but see that since this release there have been a number of post-SP3 patches including one that deals with MS03-031. I also ran into an issue in my test environment that gets fixed with the MS03-031 patch.
Anyway, I am definitely going to upgrade to 8.00.818 but also think that I might as well go straight to 8.00.859. However, first I wanted to hear what other people are running.

Thanks

Most are on .851 here. A few .859, a few at .842

Do you experience any issues with SQL Agent jobs that have more than one job step? I have posted a separate question regarding this...

I thought I would post a quick update on this...
- any hotfix after .818 is returning job steps in alphabetical order instead of job id order (when right-clicking job and choosing start). Not a big deal though since I have now renamed my job steps
- I encountered issues with queries that had ANSI warnings (ex. SUM on a NULL field) whereby the ADO recordsets were now being returned as closed. Recently though I found the following KB article that described exactly my issue 8.00.876 : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831997 However, since this hotfix is not publicly available I found the next one that was 8.00.878 : http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=838166 and now everything is good for the ANSI warnings issue.
So, to me at least, it would look like 8.00.876 should be the patch that people should be running (if want to take into account the security patch as described in MS03-031).
