Hi, I hope this is the right forum for this question.
I need to download data from DB2 (on AIX box) to SQL Server 2000 and I'm not sure which ODBC driver to use.
In my project I am already successfully connecting to DB2 on AS400 using iSeries Access for Windows ODBC data source version 10.00.09.00.
Can I use this on AIX?
The other driver I have is IBM DB2 ODBC DRIVER.
Is this the one I need to use?
Or is there some other driver?
TIA

I would think that you would want to use either the ODBC driver for DB2 or the OLE DB driver for DB2. Both seem to support connectivity to an AIX machine hosting DB2 via TCP/IP.

DataDirect ODBC drivers outperform competitive drivers, demonstrating marked improvement in the response time, throughput, and scalability of database applications.
DataDirect drivers include a high-performance bulk load capability for loading large amounts of data very quickly, which does not require application code changes or additional bulk load tools.
