Hello all,
I am SQL Server Developer. Can you tell me , which books on Data warehouse concepts (Data warehouse concepts as well as design models) are good to read, which can take the beginners to expert level.
Also I want to know books on database design patterns which will give idea about different data models used in database designing.
Thank you

For Database design patterns Wiley has a set of three books this is a link to volume 1

In terms of Data Warehousing, any book by Inmon or Kimball will give you a good idea, and in a lot of cases you can get the wrong book, though the one Eirikur mentioned is a good start.
I found this one and used to loan it to juniors and new starters with limited experience as it explains the different architectures available and is SQL Specific. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Building-Data-Warehouse-Examples-Experts/dp/143024299X/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423566865&sr=8-3&keywords=SQL+SERVER+Data+warehouse

Eirikur beat me to it but I was going to say
The Microsoft Data Warehouse Toolkit, 2nd Edition
[/url]. This is the geared towards data warehousing in Microsoft environments specifically. If they ever write a 2012 or 2014 version :Whistling: I'd say check that out but the 2008 R2 version is very good.

For a good grounding in the principles that underpin Data Warehouse design which is agnostic of the particular implementation (Kimball or Inmon), Star Schema - The Complete Reference by Christopher Adamson is a must read.
